Bendigo Stadium (Red Energy Arena) to host netball for 2026 Commonwealth Games

Hon Jacinta Allan MP has confirmed Bendigo Stadium (Red Energy Arena) will host the netball for the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Victoria and predominantly regional Victoria has been confirmed as the host of the games, with four key hubs to be Bendigo, Geelong, Ballarat and Gippsland with athlete villages and sport programs.

Visiting the Bendigo Stadium (Red Energy Arena) this week with Maree Edwards MP, Jacinta Allan confirmed the news, sharing a shoot around with local netball players, Golden City Netball members and Bendigo Football Netball League Members.

“This is a great opportunity for Bendigo to showcase our beautiful city, as well as the world-class facilities we offer at Bendigo Stadium.” Said Dennis Bice, Bendigo Stadium (Red Energy Arena) Chief Executive Officer.

We hosted officials here last month at different stages, which included venue tours, negotiations and filming our venue in all its prime on a domestic basketball night. Thank you to everyone involved on the night who jumped in to do a video interview about the importance of having the games held in Bendigo!

Bendigo will be hosting netball, cycling, T20 cricket, lawn bowls and para lawn bowls, squash, weightlifting and para powerlifting.

It’s going to be a busy couple of years in Bendigo and the regions and we’re so excited to be part of the journey.
