Red Energy Arena

Previously known as the Bendigo Stadium, from June 2022 the facility relaunched as the Red Energy Arena.

Red Energy is an Australian owned energy retail subsidiary of Snowy Hydro Limited, providing electricity and natural gas to retail customers in Victoria, New South Wales, ACT, South East Queensland and South Australia.

Red Energy will supply the Arena with renewable energy under the VECO (Victorian Energy Collaboration) contract which was announced in 2021, providing 47 Victorian councils with renewable energy in what is the largest emissions reduction project ever undertaken by a local government in Australia.

The Red Energy brand is set to become a household name, intrinsically linked to the Bendigo community and regional Victoria.

“This is a fantastic collaboration and partnership with a company that is Australian owned with a focus around building better communities. We are excited to see the beginning of a long term partnership for both organisations,” said Dennis Bice, CEO of Red Energy Arena.

Hosting over 90 events each year, the Arena is the heartbeat of Greater Bendigo.

We are committed to delivering world class experiences across our venue. It is the home to Women’s National Basketball (WNBL) team Bendigo Spirit, NBL1 South mens and womens teams Bendigo Braves, and a huge part of community sport in Bendigo.

“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity where we can demonstrate our leadership in renewable energy as well as our support for community events in Bendigo. Red Energy Arena will be at the centre of Bendigo’s sporting and entertainment events and become part of the city’s vernacular!” said David Holman – GM of Business Development Red Energy.

The two year partnership involves internal and external signage including LED lighting, as well as branding across the Arena’s website and event ticketing.

The partnership is a great step forward for BSL, which will help raise the brand recognition to a national level and enhance the Arena’s status as a world class facility.
