Bendigo has the reputation of being a powerhouse of Australian basketball.
The Bendigo Basketball Association (BBA) commenced in 1947 and moved all competitions to Red Energy Arena in 1976.
Bendigo Basketball Association’s players and officials who have achieved international status include Rhonda Vise, Nina Cass, Max Brisbane, Kristi Harrower, Aaron Trahair, Glen Saville, Mathew Campbell, Emily McInerny, Tim Mills, Catherine Moller, Daniel Nancarrow and Paul Moller.

BIDDY BALL
Biddy Ball is a starter program, coached by our Bendigo Braves superstars, designed to give children aged 4-9years the opportunity to learn fundamental basketball skills and have fun in a social and friendly environment!

AUSSIE HOOPS
Basketball Australia’s official junior game development program for children aged 5-10years and their families. Aussie Hoops is a national program which provides an environment where children of all abilities can achieve on the court and reap the rewards of skill development, enhanced self-esteem, social co-operation and grassroots sports participation whilst having fun.

DOMESTIC BASKETBALL
The Paul Gray Builders Domestic Competition provides opportunities from under 10’s through to Seniors with over 450 teams. Want to get involved?
VJBL
The Bendigo Braves have teams competing in the Victorian Junior Basketball League.
CBL
The Bendigo Braves have both a men’s and women’s team competing in the Country Basketball League.
BIG V
The Bendigo Braves have both a men’s and women’s team competing in the Big V (Youth League) competition.
NBL1 SOUTH
The Bendigo Braves have both a men’s and women’s team competing in the NBL1 state competition within the South conference.

BENDIGO SPIRIT
The Bendigo Spirit became the ninth Women’s National Basketball League club following its approval for entry into the 2007/08 season. As the third Victorian-based team, the Spirit is based in the regional city of Bendigo and host their home games at Red Energy Arena.

ROLLER BRAVES
The Bendigo Braves have a wheelchair basketball team, the Bendigo Roller Braves.
ACCESS ALL ABILITIES
The Bendigo Basketball Association in conjunction with Red Energy Arena, runs the Access All Abilities (AAA) program for persons with a disability. Participants practice their basketball skills, implementing these skills into a game at the end of the session. It is a terrific opportunity for people of all ages to enjoy our great game of basketball in an encouraging environment.
