Red Energy Arena glows pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

For the month of October, Red Energy Arena will be turning pink to support Red Energy’s long-term partner, Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).

When you visit the arena throughout the month, you will notice that our LED lighting will be glowing pink, rather than our signature red – a move that we hope helps to raise awareness of breast cancer throughout the Bendigo region.

Red Energy has partnered with BCNA since 2015 to help support Australians affected by breast cancer. Their partnership enables them to contribute, support and collaborate with BCNA on what is a very personal cause to many Australians. Their mission is to raise awareness of the support BCNA provides, so no one has to go through breast cancer alone.

In 2022, an estimated 20,640 Australians will be diagnosed with breast cancer and for many of them, BCNA is the first place they turn to after diagnosis.

Red Energy turns pink

Red Energy Arena’s Marketing Manager, Eve Ritchens is excited to team up with Red Energy and BCNA for this initiative and is proud to be turning the arena pink for the cause.

“It’s incredible to be involved with this partnership – we can’t wait to see the arena light up pink in the name of breast cancer awareness,” said Eve. “Encouraging a supportive community is a priority for Red Energy Arena and we’re excited to do our bit to help raise awareness.”

Red Energy extended its partnership with BCNA last year, with the introduction of the Red BCNA Saver plan to residential customers. More than 4,600 electricity and gas accounts are now in place, contributing an additional $190,000 to BCNA’s funds.
